it takes about five hours to travel the 80 kms from bahrabhise to kathmandu, following the same ole river we've been following all along since tibet, getting deeper and wider and wilder: it is nowcalled the bhok kosi river. a beautiful grand rapids river that feeds the sun kosi once it reaches the kathmnandu valley.
jari says that on the way up from kathmandu towards lhasa they got stopped by maoist guerillas who asked all travellers for a revolutionary tax, but now there is a cease fire and peace talks, so no road-block. i am almost sorry for that.
